It's been awhile, I guess. Well, I'm back with a cute little sewing project! After much shopping, I decided to tackle the jersey knit embellishments. I took a skirt I made a few years ago, some scraps of jersey knit fabric and buttons and made flowers.
Each flower consists of 3 layers of petals, gathered together in the middle. the Petals are tacked down to help keep it's shape. The vine and leaves are machine stitched to keep them in place. and the buttons are stitched with an "x" in the middle out of silliness.
While doing this, I also made the skirt smaller, it was a bit too big!
