I couldn't sleep, so I made something.

Everyone needs an orange and tan striped, double knit mini skirt, right? For the last few years I've wanted to make this, but was originally intending on it being a bit longer, so here it is! I don't remember exactly where this fabric came from, but I'm pretty sure it was an "88" at Jo-Ann's in the mid 90's. Who the heck buys double knit, other than me?

A few other details that are important incase I ever do this skirt again.
- make it about 1" longer for the hem to be correct. I ended up using bias taoe to fold over and finish the edges.
- maybe make the pockets inside instead of patch style. It's be very easy to re-draft that pattern.
- have matching drawstring ahead of time for picture taking purposes.

This skirt is also a "mini" to me, but not really a mini. I"ve used this pattern zillions of times, but before it was always tea length. this hits about 3/4 the way down my thigh. Anyway, now I need a shirt to wear with it.
